Day Three of my spring cleanse.
It’s been a good few days to be honest, I felt like I was overdue for a cleanse, my body is enjoying the feeling of lightness!
This cleanse is one of my own programme’s I’ve devised. This particular one ive used a few times before now and it works well. This time my eldest Daughter whom is 22 and my Partner Jamie have joined me.
I will give a quick rundown of the format of this cleanse.
This is a raw vegan cleanse, I will not eat cooked foods during this time. This cleanse is gentle yet very effective at cleansing the digestive tract and rejuvenating your cells with living foods containing live enzymes.
It’s a gentle start on Day One ease in with two smoothies, raw lunch, herbal tea, lemon water and various Qi gong exercises to stimulate the lymph system.
Day two Two juices, raw lunch, herbal tea (my own blend), minimum of 20 mins exercise enough to raise core temperature.
Day Three liquid only day, warm nut milk with carob, juices, smoothies, water. No tea, no solid food.
Day four 24 hour water fast
Day five ease out of water fast with juices, smoothie and a few herbal teas and two pieces of fruit.
This is a five day cleanse, however I may carry on for longer see how I feel Friday.
Today is Day One of my spring cleanse. This is my own programme I’ve created that I’ve used many times and it works a treat. I will be offering this programme and a few others once my website is up and running 🙂
It was my Vegan/Began/Vulcan or whatever label it is Birthday on the 1st April! Two years! It’s been a journey, a great journey, a tough journey, an enlightening one for sure!
Will be writing in more detail tomorrow. Wanted to let you know I’ve completed day one of my cleanse.

Thought it would be nice to share a budget smoothie recipe.
Spring clean your liver with a alkalizing green smoothie.
Start to shift unwanted weight especially around your middle, with a gentle liver cleanse. Start each day with a smoothie with various greens added.
Spinach contains oxalic acid so it’s advisable to rotate your green vegetables. Kale, pak choi, cabbage, lettuce, beetroot leaves, broccoli leaves etc Use your imagination and just check it’s edible with delightful google!
Went to the market in town today.
Got 3 bunches fresh spinach £1
2 mangos £1
2 grapefruits 60p
Recipe I used for smoothie
3 bunches spinach
2 grapefruits (squeezed)
Cup of orange juice I had in fridge
Whizz up in blender
Serves 2 large glasses or add some pure water to make it go further.
Kale is a superfood as far as I am concerned.

Green Goddess Juice on a budget Smoothie
Half bag of kale
2 oranges juiced
2 grapefruits juiced
Budget option: replace orange and grapefruit with water or any apple juice you can afford.
Whizz up with hand blender or high speed if you have one.
Drink and Enjoy the feeling of goodness in your gorgeous body!
One of my favourite cooked foods is lentils, they create a satisfying dish.
I used to love the young ones too.
tinned lentils make a great quick curry.
My Creamy Curry Recipe:
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1 green pepper, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground tumeric
- 1 tablespoon curry powder
- 1 (400g) tin green lentils
- 1 (400g) tin chopped tomatoes
- 1 tin coconut milk
- chopped fresh coriander to garnish (optional)
Prep:5min › Cook:25min › Ready in:30min
- Over medium-high heat in a large frying pan with the oil, fry onion, garlic and pepper until soft and onion is transparent.
- Add all of the spices and stir well for 1-2 minutes.
- Add tomatoes and leave to simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add lentils and stir well. Leave for ten minutes then Add coconut milk.
- Serve with basmati or boiled rice, and add fresh coriander on top if desired.

These are delicious!
two cups soaked sunflower and/or pumpkin seeds (soaked for 2 hours to overnight)
half cup fresh basil leaves
any other fresh or dried herbs (sage, thyme, rosemary)
1 clove of garlic
1 teaspoon grated ginger root
1 tablespoon of tahini or (peanut butter for a twist)
juice of 1 lemon
pinch of Celtic Sea Salt
pinch of cayenne
1 tablespoon of cider vinegar
flax oil and or olive oil (two tablespoons)
Grind down in Food Processor with S-blade. Roll into balls and roll them in sesame seeds. Wrap in lettuce leaves or use as a dip for veggies. Serves 2 to 4.
Super Duper Green Juice
Try this super tasty immune system boosting green juice.
I pushed all this through my Juicer.
The green juice consisted of a whole bag of Kale
Two local apples
Bunch of celery
Half a pineapple
It is amazing in flavour and gave me an immediate zing you only get with live juice!
